a collection of DAGs
We, the Dala Artists Group (DAG), are a group of like-minded artists from the Conondale region in the upper Mary Valley.
The Conondale region is an isolated rural community rich with artists who felt that they were working in a creative void – with little opportunity for artistic exchange or professional development.
In response to this, DAG was formed in August 2008, with the intention of bringing local practicing artists together to share their knowledge, skills and experience.
Our aim as a group is to provide:
- peer support
- networking opportunities
- professional development opportunities
- a sense of artistic community.
Since our formation we have held a number of workshops – some with a professional presenter, others as 'peer' workshops where we shared ideas and experimented with various media.
